How can I find the courses that are available for training?

Once you are logged in the screen to the left will appear.  The top red line are the various links you can use in this site.

In order to find a class available for you to take that is offered by District 129 you will click on Class Catalog.

When you click on Class Catalog a screen will appear similar to the one on the left.  You can search for a class using several different methods.  Experiment with the various search engines.  You will only be able to view and register for classes that you are eligible to attend.  Such as, a 1st grade teacher will only see the 1st Grade Grade Level Workshops and not the 3rd Grade ones.

You can also look at classes by clicking on the button in the middle of the page that says "Catalog Calendar."

How can I learn more information about a listed course offering?

If you want more details about a class click on the name of the class.

The details for a class are shown on a screen similar to the one on the left.  If you are interested in registering for the class you would then click "Register."

There is a calendar feature in this system and if you click "download date" it will put these class dates in your personal calendar in the system.

What happens after I register for a course?

Once you have indicated that you want to register, the home screen will indicate that a seat has been reserved for you.  Your supervisor will then approve that you can take the class and then the Assistant Superintendent will approve the class.  Once you have received both approvals, the designation on the home page will say registered.   If either of these individuals rejects the request to attend the class you will receive notification and should talk with the individual.

What happens after I complete a course?

Once you have completed a class and your instructor has taken attendance and issued the credit for the class, you will notice that an evaluation has been posted on the home page.   You will receive an e-mail that an evaluation is waiting for you to complete.   You will then need to log into the My ePD system and click on the evaluation link and complete this before you will get a certificate of completion.

This evaluation is very similar to previous evaluations used.  You will notice the statement and then the drop down box.  Click on the blue arrow and the response will appear.  Please indicate your response and then go to the next statement.  After answering these statements click "Next."

How do I obtain a Certificate of Completion?

Once you have completed the survey, you can then return to your home screen and you will see that a certificate is associated with that class.

You can use that certificate as your evidence of completion for recertification.  You could also use this certificate for movement on the pay schedule, if it meets the requirements of your association contract.  Check with your building representatives for clarification if necessary.
